Day 1: Fez – Merzouga
Depart very early from Fez and travel along scenic routes through Berber villages, mountains, and semi-desert plateaus. Stop for photos to capture landscapes and local interactions. Arrive in Merzouga and check in at your traditional Berber camp. End the day with your first camel ride across the dunes at sunset, enjoying the shifting colors and serene desert atmosphere.
Day 2: Desert Immersion
Wake up to the sounds of the desert and the sunrise over the dunes. Explore the dunes and hidden oases with your guide, visiting nomadic families to discover their daily life, tents, craftsmanship, and sustainable desert practices. In the afternoon, participate in a Berber cooking workshop, observe traditional weaving techniques, and learn about the creation of rugs, jewelry, and other crafts. Spend the night under the stars with traditional Berber music and dinner at the camp.
Day 3: Sunrise & Return to Fez
Wake early to experience the sunrise over the dunes. Enjoy a final camel trek or 4×4 excursion through secluded dunes and villages, perfect for photography. After a traditional Berber lunch, depart for Fez, stopping along the way to meet artisans and capture panoramic views of the desert and surrounding villages.
